One of the first projects of Arthelps was the sad everyday life in the favelas of Brazil. Drugs, violence, poverty and unemployment determine the nursery life rhythm. Thomas Lupo, founder of Arthelps, dived for five months in this for him foreign world. His goal was an artistic representation of the favela life from the point of view of the children living there.
In daily workshops where Thomas Lupo offered artistic guidance, 8-15-year-old children made their everyday life with simple means. At first, hesitant, they won self-confidence and finally created deep moving and at authenticity hardly to wear illustrations and photos.
